
Men’s Masters
In the men’s 40-50 age group, George Sotirakos came up from Lowell, MA, lifting at 242lbs but weighing in at 238, making his bench press huge…George very kindly bench pressed 297.5 Kg (655.9 Lbs), and pulled 307.5 Kg (677.9 Lbs) on the deadlift.
Another one of our out-of-state lifters was Randy Favreau from Pelham, NH, lifting at 198 Lbs, put in a very nice 222.5 Kb (490.5 Lbs) bench and a 255.0 Kb (562.2 Lbs) deadlift. A great day for Randy who cut weight for the event.
In men’s 51+, another out-of-state lifter, Andrew Christo, aged 70 (his 50th year lifting weights) and weighing 179 Lbs, from Portsmouth, NH, benched 80.0 Kg (176.4 Lbs) and, after injuring himself on his second attempt, deadlifted 157.5 Kg (347.2 Lbs.), essentially lifting on one leg…and took a good try at the American record (418 Lbs).

Two good, solid tries for Chris Lajoie, from Windham, ME at 600 Lbs and 53 years of age/265 Lbs–but it wasn’t to be… Fear not, we know Chris will be back!
At 67 years old, one of our loyalest lifters, Frank Ventriglia, Sr. from Attleboro, MA. Coming off several injuries and weighing 252 Lbs, but still managed to bench 80 Kg (176.4 Lbs).

Women’s Masters
Karen Casette is a Mainer from Saco, competed as a women’s masters, bench-only. Weighing 165 Lbs, she made a 67.5 Kg (148.8 Lbs) bench. She has been struggling after some terrible injuries, but she’s back, powerlifting!
Carolyn Braun, from Portland, ME. At 67 years, and weighing in at 141 Lbs, made a 60 Kg (132.3 Lbs) bench, and 107.5 Kg (237.0 Lbs) deadlift.
Another out-of-stater from Portsmouth, NH, was Donna Aliminosa. She’s the wife of Andy Christo. She’s 66 years and weighed only 85 Lbs…she hit a 30.0 Kg (66.1 Lbs) bench press in the women’s 65-69 year old class, single ply; which set an American record for the 97 Lbs weight class. She also pulled a noteworthy 85 Kg (187.4 Lbs) deadlift, setting another American record in her weight class and age division.

Connor Lajoie, a former teen-aged national champion, came from Windham and lifted with his Dad, Chris. At 19 years of age, he weighed 178 Lbs, and benched 132.5 Kg (292.1 Lbs).

Men’s Full Meet
In his first meet ever, Trevor Gallant, from Windham, ME, who trains right here at DYNA MAXX. At 19 years of age, men’s teen raw, he weighed in at 160 Lbs, Trevor benched 97.5 Kg (215.0 Lbs), and he hit a very nice 155.0 Kg (341.7 Lbs) deadlift, and he let the crowd know how happy he was.
Also in men’s teen raw, Duke Reddoch came down from Bath, ME. He weighed 192 Lbs at age 18; he benched 100 Kg (220.5 Lbs), and he deadlifted 192.5 Kg (424.4 Lbs).
That brings us to the last teen raw lifter, Gus Brown, from Carthage, ME. An impressive young man (19 years old), 156 Lbs: 122.5 Kg (270.1 Lbs) bench press, 227.5 Kg (501.6 Lbs) deadlift. We see big things coming out of Gus.
Now we go to men’s open raw, and we start with Rob Jimino, from Portland, ME, who weighed in at 247 Lbs, aged 32. He benched 200.0 Kg (440.9 Lbs), and he deadlifted 240.0 Kg (529.1 Lbs).
Next we have Michael Letendre. He came up from Haverhill, MA. He weighed 234 Lbs, and at age 37, benched 125.0 Kg (275.6 Lbs), and deadlifted 220.0 Kg (485.0 Lbs).
Taking us to DYNA MAXX’s own Tyler Wardwell, from Portland, ME. Aged 28, he tipped in at 189 Lbs, benched 120 Kg (264.6 Lbs), and pulled 192.5 Kg (424.4 Lbs), realizing the deadlift goal he’d set for himself.
Also a DYNA MAXX lifter, we come to Matt Strong, from Westbrook, ME. At age 26, he weighed 190 Lbs, and benched 132.5 Kg (292.1 Lbs), and pulled 255.0 Kg (562.2 Lbs). He had a good day!
Bringing us to Slav Babayan, from Cumberland, ME. He’s 34 years old, and weighed 219 Lbs. He had a terrific day: 232.5 Kg (512.6 Lbs) bench press, and then he pulled a 232.5 Kg (666.9 Lbs) deadlift.

Women’s Full Meet
We start with Amy Laflamme, from Portland, ME: 144 Lbs, at aged 32; 55.0 Kg (121.3 Lbs) bench, and 67.5 Kg (148.8 Lbs) deadlift.
Which takes us to Hope Longworthy, the star of our inaugural women’s open that we did back in March of this year, and an up-and-coming power lifting dymano. Hope’s 17 years of age, from Topsham, ME, weighed 127 Lbs; and she set the American record in the bench press for the 57.5 Kg/132 Lbs weight class by pushing 105 Kg (231.5 Lbs). She had previously set the women’s teen (16-17) American record in the total at 235 Kg (518.1 Lbs). Hope also pulled 162.5 Kg (358.3 Lbs) deadlift. Ultimately she broke her already existing record for total at 162.5 Kg (358.2 Lbs)
And last but not least, we arrive at Teesha Keeting came up from Derry, NH, aged 37. Lifting in the 123 Lbs class, she ,ade a 62.5 Kg (137.8 Lbs) bench, and a 152.5 Kg (336.2 Lbs) deadlift.
